Delhi

Delhi, a capital of India, is for sure a city of contrasts. Situated on the banks of Yamuna River, this 15-million people city will hardly keep you indifferent; you either fall in love with Delhi, or hate it and never want to go back. Only here you can see modern cars on the same streets with horses, rickshaws and even elephants; beggars wearing rags and businessmen in expensive suits; street outlets with pushy sellers and luxury boutiques.

Once you get past first shock and decide to leave your hotel and wander on the streets of Delhi (rather dirty streets, by the way), move your feet towards Red Fort that looks really impressive. If you arrive to Red Fort by rickshaw and he takes you to military entrance and tells Red Fort is closed, but he can open it for you in case you pay, don’t believe this trick. Simply walk round Fort perimeter for a couple of minutes and you will see main entrance that is open for tourists.
