Nowadays people over 50 make trips much frequently than earlier. According to the research studies more than a half of retired want to make travels. One third of retired couples say they are planning to make those “once in a lifetime” vacation.
Australia and New Zealand seem to remain the most popular destinations among people over 50. Europe occupies third place, especially Great Britain that looks pretty attractive to retired. Older people have also mentioned surprisingly exotic places like China, Africa or Antarctic as desired destinations.
Traveling agencies mention, today’s elderly people often claim more adventures and activities than even 5 years ago. Camping, scuba diving and even helicopter rides – retired don’t want to sit in small cafes somewhere in Paris anymore.
